I started this in the beginning of June. Then with life and a severe lack of motivation, I didn't do anything with it. After getting this ready to sew, I decided I didn't really want to make it. Then I had no time to sew. So now after a few hours, I finished it. I reviewed the tunic and pants from this pattern on PatternReview a while back. The dress is just an easy, shift dress with pockets and buttons on the shoulders.
For those who love to sew, but may not have the patience for projects that take a long time to make. This is about me and how I fulfill my need for creativity. Some things work out great - others, not so much. But, I'm willing to give just about any sewing project a try.

Reminiscing
I found this apron when I was going through my mom's things after she died. I brought it home and set it aside because the pocket was torn. Well, a couple of days ago I decided to repair it as best I could. It turned out pretty well. She bought this on a trip she took to Europe. I think this was probably bought in Amsterdam. It's been almost 2 years since she died, but I think she'd be happy with the results.

New Look 6602
I finished the garment that I was working on during my last post. I made the tunic and pants. I made this to wear to my son's graduation knowing that it was going to be around 90 degrees and humid. Even though the ceremony was indoors, I wasn't cold at all. This was very comfortable and really easy to wear. I especially like the material used. It's some sort of linen-like material which breathes well and washes great! I bought it at Jo-Ann Fabrics. This was also the first time that I have ever done covered buttons. After doing it this time, I wondered why I have never done them before?! It was so easy and of course, you get a perfect match with the fabric. I am in the process of making the dress in view A (the short dress). That should be something to wear on hot (humid) summer days.
